We prepare taxes
for single individuals who which to claim
themselves as dependent. We also prepare
taxes for individuals who are single with
one or more children. These clients filed as head
of household. We
must remember if we have supported a child
that is not our dependent during more than
half of the calendar year, we can use his
or her name and social security number to
file as a head of house hold (remember that
child is not your dependent). We can also
become head of household if we supported
someone through out the year and that person
decides not to file and allow us to use his
or her name and social security number.
Remember for a child to be your dependent
that child must have a social security card
and there must be a relationship between
yourself and the child. There are
additional rulings to that. (The child has
be legal in this country for the full year
the child has to be living with the person
whom him as dependent, the child has to be
less than 19 years of age or in school full
time or disable).
We
also file joint and separate returns for
married couple.
Just a
reminder married couple filing separate
returns has the smallest deduction and can’t
claim head of household if living in the
same household for any part of the year.
There are other additional
rulings to that.
A large majority of our
clients make less than $5000.00 a year. The
return in this case will be around $450.00
if the client is over 26 years old. If the
client is less than 25 years old then the
return will be $150. Those clients are only
charge a 10% fee of their return that can
be between $20.00 and $30.00.
Another group of clients are
the fixed income clients. They are
receiving SSI or SSA or some type of
retirement benefits most of these clients
only receiving a return from the state. We
only charge $10.00 to file that return. We
call these people our elite; they receive
the same great service for less money.
The rest of or clients pay
between $280.00 and 400.00 plus processing
fee.
